This is the system clans will use for gaining clan gems and power within the realm. Each Territory in the Ancient Mists has been assigned worth based on natural resources, population, development and the number of unique or often demanded items within its borders (seek the Midgaard Library for details). Clans can harness that wealth by capturing and occupying territories, thus gaining a weekly tribute from the inhabitants. Tributes and territory values are calculated in Clan Gems.

The Territory Claiming System and Rules:

A clan can only control two territories per every active clan member. Clan members that fail to log in during the 2 weeks previous to the roster posting, or those not participating with RP are considered inactive.

A clan can only claim two Territories each week (or one outside their currently ocuppied continents).

Tributes are received each real-life week. The total number of Territories is calculated, and their worth's added into one large flow of revenue. Tributes will be given Mondays or Tuesdays, and any territorial claims to be included, must be requested before the previous week is over. Tributes must be collected with the accompaniment of an RpNote, and the tribute will be given to the player who RpNoted the collection of it. No RpNote, no tribute.

The current status and position of each active clan can be seen on the Clan Board in the Library of the Ancients. Individual Territories, their worth and who currently occupies them can be seen on the Maps posted inside the Midgaard Library.

The only way to take control of a territory already in the possession of another clan is by declaring and winning a war with that area as the specified spoil of war.

To claim an unoccupied territory, the clan leadership must post a note to the Immortals requesting the operation. After the territory has been added to the maps on the Library of the Ancients, the claiming clan must post an RPnote about their new land. Clans can claim territories within the same continent, or use ports and portals to move into other continents.

Note:
The clan hall cannot be in a territory occupied by an enemy clan, for the cost of 10 clan gems the clan can move their hall to another territory they control on the same continent. For a clan to move their hall to another continent the cost will be raised to 20 clan gems for transport fees.
